DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Open Security Conference (osco)\, the people-centred international gathering for everyone interested in cybersecurity.\n\nA different kind of security conference\n\nOsco presents a different concept of security conference - literally from the community\, for the community! It offers a platform to ease the learning curve in cybersecurity and provides the opportunity to learn\, discuss\, and teach.\n\nWe are a group of enthusiasts working in different areas of cybersecurity and adjacent domains. Our jobs range from developers championing security in delivery teams\, to security engineers\, to security consultants and CISO-like roles. We met at various non-security events and realised we’re tired of the gatekeeping that pushes interested folks away from security. We figured we were missing a security event run as an Open Space - an event where all folks interested in security can learn from each other\, no matter their current roles\, areas or levels of expertise. We decided to fill this gap\, bring this effective community-driven format to security and hence create a different kind of security event\, focused on people and breaking any gatekeeping.\n\nAs part of the Open Space format\, no agenda is set before the event. DESCRIPTION:Our Idea\n\nWe have experienced many amazing SoCraTes conferences around the world and kept asking ourselves: why not extend the experience and invite our families along?\n\nSoCraTes Family Switzerland is planned as a family-friendly unconference with three full conference days from Thursday to Saturday. Wednesday and Sunday are intended as relaxed travel days\, giving everyone enough time to arrive\, settle in\, connect with others\, and travel home without stress.\n\nBy family-friendly\, we mean balancing inspiring conversations with quality time together. Each morning will feature a classic SoCraTes-style Open Space with a marketplace and two sessions. The afternoons are intentionally left unscheduled.\n\nSpend the time however you like: explore the area with your family\, meet others at the playground\, go hiking\, relax by the lakes\, or take on the slightly adventurous idea of kayaking downstream.
